COALITION PROPOSALS
*. GOVERNMENT CAUCUS. .DISCUSSION ADJOURNED. (Special to the Times.) WELLINGTON, July 23. The position in resard to the National Cabinet proposal has undergone practically no change since yesterday. Negotiations are still uncompleted, but the feeling is growing amongst members that it is now time that a settlement either one way or the other was reached. and u definite announcement made. The matter was further considered by the members of the Government Party to-day, but owing to the lack of time the discussion was not completed and was deferred to another meeting to be held to-morrow morning. There seems to be an impression that the negotiations will be so far advanced during the week end as to make it possible for a statement to be made to the House on Tuesday.
