(Fcr United Press Association.) OFN'EDIN, March 2 I At Burnside to-day 150 fat cattle were yarded, the entry comprising medium to good steers and heifers. Tho number forward was about equal to the requirements of the trade, and competition was linn at last week's piles. Prices; — Prime bullocks £l7 12/0, good £ll to £ls 13/-, medium £ll 10/- to £l2, light and unfinished £S 10/- to £lO 10'-, prime heifers £lO to £l2 17/ li. good £» to £9 10—. light to medium £K 10/- to £S. There was fair yarding of fat sheep. 2577 being penned. Prime wethers were in short supply, the greater proportion of the yarding consisting of ewes, of which a fair number were extra heavy. For wethers there was keen demand, while all medium ewes were well competed for by exporters, but extra prim? heavy ewes were, if anything, slightly easier. Prices:—Extra prime wethers to 31/-. prime 26/- to 28/-. prime to good 22/- to 21/-. light 17/- to 20,—. extra prime owes lo 29/9. prime 21— to 26/-, prime to good 21/- to 23/6, medium 17/6 to 111/-, light and unfinished to 11/-. There was n medium yarding of lambs, lilt! coming forward. The bulk were only of medium quality, hut there were some pens of exceptionally heavy lambs. Prices for all freezing qualities were firm at last week's rates, but unfinished sorts were hard to dispose of. One small line of four lambs realised 36/9, Prices; —Prime 20/- to 24/-, good 17/- to 19/-, light and unfinished 12/6 to 16/-- , Fifty-six fat pigs were penned and prices were on a par with last week's tales.

WELLINGTON WOOI. SALE WELLINGTON, March 31. The last wool sale of the season was held to-day. when about 3100 bales were offered. There was a good attendance of buyers ami competition was keen for everything offered. Prices were exceptionally high for all good licece wool. The top price of the sale was I7')i<l for a line of 1R hides of line Romney in very light condition. This wool was sold on account of -Messrs Condon Bros., of Mokilikii, and constitutes a record for New Zealand. Another line of Romney sold on account of R. D. Knight, Longhorn. realised I7'/id.
