BIBLE-IN-SCHOOLS
INSTRUCTION AT GERALDINE. (Per United Press Association). TIMARU. July 7. Ministers at Geraldine have been in th© habit of giving on one day a week Bible lessons to a large proportion of the children (87 per cent, being mentioned), before school hours, the school opening for secular work at 0.30. Recently the committee decided that school hours begin at 9 o’clock, and the ministers, by a deputation, pointed out the inconvenience of giving lessons before 9 or after school. The committee has now agreed to allow secular work to begin at 9.30 on one day a week, and close as usual on that day at 3 p.m.
