THE KOMAGATA MAKU CONSIGNMENT. COURT OF APPEAL’S DECISION. NOT ALLOWED TO LAND. VANCOUVER, July 6. The. Court of Appeal in British Columbia unanimously decided against the Hindus aboard the Komagata Maru being allowed to land. The Court hold that Ihe Ordcr-in-Council prohibiting the admission of Asiatics was good and has full effect. The Hindus did not possess th© necessary amount of money to permit them to land in Canada, and had not made a direct journey to the country. Tho majority were unskilled labourers and therefore temporarily barred under any circumstances.
