Senator Millen. claims (hat the only solution of the present Federal tangle Is a double dissolution. unsigned articles. PERTH, August 19. The Sunday Times newspaper lias been fined 40s for publishing an unsigned article commenting on the late elections. It is intended to appeal to a higher court on the ground that the article was not published . till the elections were over, though the returns were incomplete, and that though the Act provided that the manuscript should be signed, it was not obligatory to publish the signature. MR FISHER’S CRITICISM. MELBOURNE. August 19. Mr Andrew Fisher, speaking at Coburg, said the present Government was trying to sandpaper the sores of the toiling masses. It proposed to pauperise the people, whom the Labour party was endeavouring to benefit. Tile Labour movement, however, was one that could not be kept back.
