Sir Joseph Ward left by the second express yesterday for Dunedin, and expects to reach Wellington either to-mor-row or on Friday. As a rumour lias gained currency to the effect that the Hon. James Allen contemplates taking up his residence, in Auckland after the session, the Otago Daily Times has been requested to state that the Minister has no such intention.
