Tlie Daily News states that under the Government’s education scheme the curriculum will be broadened, particularly in manual and technical Instruction. Medical treatment and meals will be extended. There will be more universities similar to that of Liverpool, open to every boy and girl reaching the required standard. A PREMATURE ANNOUNCEMENT. LONDON, January It. Received January 14, 11.45 p.m. The Times states that Lord Haldane's speech has surprised some of his colleagues. The Cabinet lias not discussed the scheme and lias no intention of passing a big Education Bill next session.
