MORE EXPENDITURE. AND MORE TAXATION. (By Telegraph.—Press Association. —Copyright). BERLIN, January 13. The Taglisch Rundschau states that the increase in the German Army expenditure, foreshadowed last month by the North German Gazette, will amount to £3,750,000. The expenditure will not include further provision for aviation, but will go towards the creation of new cavalry divisions, with a light howitzer regiment for each. [Wiien the likelihood of fresh army expenditure was mooted last month, the German Press viewed with mixed sentiments the prospect of new taxation to meet it.]
