PRESBYTERIAN ASSEMBLY

(Per United Press Association.) DUNEDIN, November 11. The General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church decided this morning to invite Mr Lanchu, the •Chinese Consul, Upon his vi.Mt to Dunedin on Monday, to attend a sitting of the Assembly and address the house. Mr Albert Wright, of Knox College and of the Assembly Theological Hall, has boon appointed by the Victorian Presbyterian Church to mission Work In Korea. There was considerable discussion about the proposition to give the Maori missiqn the power to confer with the Board of properties re the possibility for the disposal of the Maori mission farm of 200 acres at Mananui in order to develop a boys’ school. The proposal was agreed to. The gift of Mr Hugh Campbell of a Bite for a Presbyterian Ladies’ College at Havelock North was accepted, subject to variation of the condition that building must commence within twelve months.
