It Is not claimed for tlic Triumph and Douglas motor cycles, that they win every competition that Is held, but their record In the heavy and light weight classes Is quite unapproached by any other make of motor cycle. In fact, It Is doubtful if the next twelve best motor cycles combined can equal the number of successes gained in competition by this wonderful pair. Wo sometimes hear motorists say they are not interested in competition, as they do not intend racing. Competition proves what a motor cycle is capable of standing under very trying conditions, and the motor cycle which proves the most reliable under such, will give the ordinary rider less trouble at an average pace of say 20 miles an hour over a period. The 20 mile per hour gait for say six months, tests a motor’s quality just the same as a big competition will do over a period of a couple of days, only in the former It takes longer for a purchaser to find out a mistake and hi taking competition for a guide, one can have the advantage of other peoples' experimenting, and can thus avoid the risk of a bad bargain. Messrs Wilson, Fraser and Co., the leading motor cycle traders have full particulars of the principal successes of all motor cycles and will be pleased to supply them to anyone interested.
