BALLOONING
THRILLING EXPERIENCES. (By Ttlegrapk—Preot Association—Copyright). NEWYORK, July 11. Clifford, Harman, and Augustus Post in a balloon had a thrilling experience in the Bennett elimination contest. They encountered a terrific thunderstorm, but both landed safely after being lost in the clouds with lightning all about them. At noon five contestants were still aloft. THE GORDON BENNETT COP. NEW YORK, July 11. Seven ballons started from Kansas City in a contest. The two winners will be selected to compete for the Gordon Cup race on October 4.
