AN INDIGNATION MEETING. (By Telegraph—Freer Association—Copyright). CAPETOWN. Jan. 24. The whole‘male population of Bulawayo met and protested against the Governor - General reprieving a native who was sentenced to death for assaulting a white woman. One speaker pointed out that if Lord Gladstone was assured that conditions in South Africa were tiie same as in England he must be brought to a proper appreciation of the facts; otherwise the whites would take the law into their own hands.
