ECLIPSE OF THE SUN

AUCKLAND, Nov. 21. . A total eclipse of the sun will take place on April 28 next. So far as this hemisphere is concerned it will be visible from the South-east of Australia (Two Fold Bay), between the North Cape of New Zealand and. Caledonia, from near Norfolk Island through Tonga, North of the Equator in longitude 154 west and thereafter, and in Central America. Mr Clement Wragge who returned from Sydney by the Maheno to-day intends to observe and photograph the eclipse from Tonga. He Informed a Herald representative that the duration of the total phase of the eclipse will be 3 min. 45 secs, in Tonga, and should be a magnificent sight.
