The police at Pueblo interfered with a meeting against President Diaz .and the sister of Jose Cerdan, ringleader of the revolutionary rising, shot the Chief of Police dead. The police in turn shot her dead, and street fighting ensued in which 110 people were killed, including many women fighters and 43 rebels, amongst them Cerdan. Many were captured. Quiet has now been restored.
