THE U.S. TOURING FLEET
A EETRETTABIE INCIDENT. (By Telegraph— Press Association—Copyright) PARIS, Nov. 20. Two hundred rioters among American bluejackets of the visiting American warships fought their way into the Cafe de Paris at Cherbourg at midnight, and insisted on being served with drinks. A French patrol ordered them to leave, and the bluejackets retorted by disarming the commanding officer and the patrol, and clearing the cafe with fixed bayonets. Windows were smashed and revolvers were fired. An Amercan sailor was stabbed in a quarrel with a Frenchman, and his bods’ was thrown into a dock. The bluejackets were angered because many were robbed.
