Moderate to strong northerly and westerly winds and Increased cloudiness are reported elsewhere. The barometer has fallen everywhere and -conditions are still threatening in the far north of the Dominion. An easterly .gale la probable, with heavy rain and flooded rivers northward of East Cape and Kawhla. Northerly winds, strong to a gale, are probable elsewhere, with rain following shortly in most parts of the country and soon on the West Coast and in the southernmost districts of the South Island.
