ACCIDENTS & DEATHS.

MOTOK CAS A2JD BICYCLE. A motor-car passing along Forth St. from I-.evi.-n St. collided with a cyclist on Clyde St. yesterday evening. Bystanders state that the car slowed down about fifty yards from Clyde St. to lake the crossing. Coming to the crossing it actually stopped to allow a lady cyclist to pass. She, however, slowed her own machine down and tiie car moved slowly across the street. Then suddenly a young man on a bicycle was seen immediately in front of the car which knocked him down, but was pulled up so quickly that it stopped with tire front carriage right on top of both machine and rider. In a few moments a number of willing helpers, including several members of the Fire Brigade who were practising with a reel close by, had lifted the car clear of the cyclist who suffered no further injury titan a few scratches. The motorist, however, left nothing to chance and, while a damaged bicycle was pushed away on one wheel, its luckless rider was taken in the car to Hie hospital. There the first impresison of the slightness of Hie injuries was immediately conlirmed. But it might have been worse.
