The Admiralty, in announcing tho postponement of the manoeuvres, explain that they might cause inconvenience if executed in June, as planned and, unless executed in their entirety, would fail to give the lessons it is desired to inculcate. Much public comment is occasioned by tho fact that Mr Balfour and Lord Lansdowne met the King when ho arrived from Paris, this proceeding being followed by the announcement of the postponement of the r.aval manoeuvres.
