LONDON, Aug. 3. A PRINCELY GIFT. Received 3rd, 11.43 p m. Lord Iveagh gave the King 4T>0,000 for distribution among the Dublin hospitals. A GRACEFUL EXIT. Received 4th, 1.1 a.m. The Mayor of the Corporation of the City of Cork heartily welcomed the King and Queen, whose progress through the city was marked by thunderous applause. In a farewell message to tke Irish people the Sovereigns say : " We are deeply touched with the kindness and goodness shown us. The tokens of loyalty and affection everywhere apparent have produced an enduring impression en our hearts. We are confident that a brighter day is dawning for Ireland ; its realisation depends upon steady development, self reliance and co-op-eration, improved education, the growth of industrial and commercial enterprise, and an increase of mutual toleration. • Our earnest prayer is that Ireland may be blessed with peace, contentment and prosperity."
