Otautau Horse Sale.
The N.Z. Loan 'and Mercantile Agency Company report' that notwithstanding very v inclement weather about 24 horses of all classes came forward for auction, most of which sold at or above vendors' reserves, under brisk competition. Young draughts of -good quality were in defnand at prices ranging^ rom, £41 10s to £34 : useful sorts; £30 to £18. Several good , harness horses sold at £20 to £15. The supply of all sorts was not equal to, the demand,. especially for quality/many likely buyers having to leave unsupplied.
