The stenmer would require to be of from 3000 tons to 4000 tons register, aod to haye suitable refrigerating accommodation for the conveyance of Frozen Ueat and U»iry Produce. It is also desirable that passenger acooin* modati-n should be provided, and applicant* will be required to ata'e what passenger accommodation would be available. The steamers would be required to leave New Zealand about once every bin (0) weeks ; steamers calling ab nob less than three (S) nor more than six (6) New Zealand ports, such ports to be named in conditions of contract. From the final port the steameis would proceed to Fremantle, Weßtralia, and thence to Durban, East London, Port I lkabeth and Oapelt is necessary that the draught of steamers when loaded thould be stated, as it is desirable that it should be such as would enable them to enter South African p->rw and proceed to the usual wharves.
