General VValdersee has arrested Vi Ko, Li Hung Chang's Manchu secretary, on a charge of communicating with the Boxers. j Dec. 12. Received 13th, 12.3 a.m. Count Waldersee has handed General Gaselee £1 1,600 as Uio British share of the plunder taken by the Allies from Poatingfu. General Gaselee hag handed the money to Sir K. .M. Satow for the relief of destitute Chinese. The Chaftce- Waldersee incident hasclosed, General Chaffee admitting the inappropriatenoss of his assertion that the looting of Pekin was committed by men who have done nothing for the relief of the Legations.
