IN NEW ZEALAND.
[By Telegbaph.] Wellington, Dec. 12. The invalided troopers who arrived this evening were accorded an enthusiastic re ception, a crowd numbering several thousands gathering on the wharves and as the Mo&ua came alongside greeted the raon with loud cheers. The troops were welcomed by the Mayor and tho Hons. HallJones, Mills and Walker and were subsequently entertained at dinner. The majority of the men appear to be in good health, out Heasley (Ashburton) has not yet recovered from wounds received at Crocodile River. Trooper Catheral was among those captured by Do Wot at Sanna's Post and spent oight weeks in captivity. He says ho was treated as well as could be expected under the circumstances. The men explain that their reason for returning by the Moana was to avoid the prolonged delay that would have been involved in -waiting for tho Harleeh Castle, as they desired to reach home as quickly as possible. F- J- Paratlin (Rhodesian Volunteers) and G. Turner (Brabant's Horse) also arrived by the Moana.
