Received 14th, 11.15 p.m | The Government Statistician's preliminary estimate of the colony's wheat yield for 1,563,000 acres under crop is 18 million bushels. The outlook is at present promising. The Telegraph says the basis of the estimate, with the wheat held over, to commence the new campaign, is fully 20 millions. Received 15th, 1.5 a.m. In the Assembly an old age pensions bill was read a second time on the voices. Mr Ash ton said it was stated by leading philanthropists in New Zealand that one of the principal effects of the scheme there was to enrich the publicans. In committee Premier Lyne promised to insert a clause providing relief between the ages of 60 and 65 if proved unable to earn a living. ADELAIDE, Nov. 14. Received 14th, 10.52 p.m. Davidson's expedition has arrived at Oodnadatta after exploring a large block of unknown country between Barrow and Tennant Creeks. A great part of the area is desert and they suffered great privations, being twelve days without water. They located several areas of gold-bearing country. Received 15th, 12.11 a.m. The Union Bank has shipped 100,000 sovereigns to Scuth Africa. Received 15th, 1.5 a.m. At Beulah West an old farmer named Hugh Laverty was found in bed with his head battered in. An employe named Charles Gluck gave himself up and confessed that he committed the murder. The motive was not disclosed. In the Assembly a motion of no confidence in the Government, tabled by Sir G. Turner, is being discussed.
