(By Telegraph.) Wellington, April 25. At the annual meeting of the New Zealand Rugby Union almost every Union was represented. Mr Campbell (Wellington) presided and in moving the adoption of the report said the Union was doing excellent work without causing any friction. It was decided that the delegates of the South Canterbury and Marlborough Unions, which are in arrears, should not vote at> the meeting. The report and balance sheet were adopted. Mr Gallaway (Otago) was elected President, and Devore (Auckland); Reel; (Poverty Bay), Logan (Hawkes Bay), Walker (Bush ' Districts), Hawkins (Manawatu), J. Bayley (Taranaki), Whatman (Wairarapa), Littlejohn (Nelson), Mills (Marlborough), Warden (Buller), Boyd (West Coast), Rhodes (Canterbury), Jones (South Canterbury), George (Southland), vice-presidents. Otago has not yet nominated a vice-president. Messrs De Costa and Hyams were re-elected secretary and treasurer respectively. Management committee: Bates (Wellington), Bee (Otago), Wesney (Southland), Morrison (Hawkes Bay), Gibbons (Auckland), Laurenson (Poverty Bay), McArdle (Canterbury), with the officers ex officio. Appeal committee: Henderson (Auckland), Faache (Wellington), Cotterill (South Canterbury), Firth (Nelson), Logan (Hawkes Bay). As to a team visiting Australia it was mentioned that a steamer would leave Wellington for Sydney on 26th June and that the South v. North match could be played that day. If this proposal was adopted it was the intention to play New South Wales on July 3rd and 10th, Queensland July 17th and 24th, and New South Wales July 21st; with junior matchi s on Wednesdays. The team would return via Auckland playing a match there on August 7th in aid of the New Zealand Union fund. This programme was adopted. The secretary announced the following proposed movements of teams for the season Otago to visit Southland the Bush Districts to visit Wairarapa ; Canterbury to visit Otago and South Canterbury ; Wairarapa to visit Wanganui and Taranaki; Manawatu to visit Taranaki; Poverty Bay to visit Hawkes Bay ; Buller to visit the West Coast; Wanganui to visit Taranaki; Auckland to visit Taranaki ; Taranaki to visit Wellington, Canterbury, and Otago ; Wellington to visit Otago, Southland, and Hawkes Bay; also, if po. Bible, South Canterbury and Manawatu. Several matters were left to the Management Committee, the chief of which was the selection of the Australian team.
