(United Press Association—By Elictrio Telegraph—Copyright. ) x ' Sydney, April 24. The weather cleared at noon, and- there was a good attendance at the A.J.C. meeting. After a hard won battle in the Rous Handicap Sabretache was disqualified for crossing. He palpably interfered with Facile. No third horse was placed. The limit time of .the A. J.O. Plate was extended to six minutes, but being exceeded the olnb benefits by half of the money. Following are the detailed results :— Rous Handicap—Sabretache (8.7), 1; Facile (8.2), 2; First Mate (8.0), 3. Ten started. Betting—3 to 1 Fuoile, 4 to 1 Sabretache, 6 to 1 to 10 to 1 the others. Duddingstone was prominent to the entrance to the straight, the field being well up, when Facile shot to the front. The placed horsea were together opposite the Leger stand where Sabretache crossed to the inside and won by half a length. Time—2 tnin. 29Jsecs. A protest against mu winner for crossing was upheld and the race awarded to Facile, with First Mate second. Place Handicap — Positano (6.7), 1; Kallatina (8.12), 2; Gozorina (7.11), 3. Twelve started. Betting—4 to 1' True Blue, 6 to 1 Adoration and Reka, 10 to 1 Gozorina. A packed field, piloted by-Med-dler, ran into the straight. The winner came out of the centra opposite the stand,and after a good finish won by a length and a half. Time—2 min. 42J secs. Second Steeplechase—Booties (11.2), 1; Tayforth (9-7), 2 ; Ulysses (10.2), 3. Seven started. Betting—2 to 1 Mignon, 4to 1 Whitefoot and Booties, 6 to 1 Tayforth. The race was a chapter of accidents. Gladstone baulked, Whitefoot was unmanageable, and Mignon fell. Booties led throughout. A great race home and won by half a length, the third beaten off.—Time—7 min. 9J secs. Second Nursery Handicap — Girl, 1; Kilt, 2; Marilla, 3. - Seventeen started. The field bunched to the half distance. Won by a head, half a length between second and third. Time—l min. 17f secs. A.J.O. Plate—Newhaven (8.0), 1; Coil (8.0), 2; Facile (8.0), 3. Also started— Battalion and True Blue. Betting— sto 4 on Newhaven, 2 to 1 against Battalion, 4 to 1 Coil, 10 to 1 True Blue. Newhaven went to the front along the back, followed by Fucile, Battalion and Coil. The pace was very slow and Newhaven soon established a long load, the field never being within coo-ee, and won by 20 lengths, a neck between second and third ; Battalion last. Time—6 min 9J secs. Final Handicap—Old Clo (8.0), 1; Talavera (7.2), 2; Rockwall (7.5), 3. Thirteen started. Won by two lengths. Time—2 min 13J secs. Adelaide, April 25. Tattersall’s Cup was won easily by Viking; Haiorel, 2; Damper, 2. Fifteen started. Time—l min 9Jsecs,
At the Auckland races on Saturday, St. George’s Handicap (1 mile) was wbn by Panoply, paying a dividend of £55 si.
