The following scratching for the Cup have been posted to-day : Bonne Fortune, Chloe, Elocution, Forward, Hawthorn, Marshall Ney, Metal, Napier, Shield, Sheet j Anchor, and Stafford. ! SYDNEY, Aug. 4. Arrived,this afternon — Union steamship Rotomahana, from Auckland. Fourteen horses have accepted for the Hawkesbury Grand Handicap, forty-live for the County Purse, and forty-two for the Metropolitan Stakes. The acceptances are considered very satisfactory.
