[By Electric Telegraph— Copyright.] (REUTER'S TELEGRAMS.) MELBOURNE, Dec. 7. The Eotomahana is still aground in the Yarra, and all traffic on the river is stopped in consequence. Later. The steamship Rotomahana was successfully floated off this afternoon. She proceeds on her voyage to the Bluff to-night. Received Dec. 8, 1882, 1.5 a.m. Dec. 7. In (he Legislative Assembly this evening Mr Munro asked that precedence might be given to a motion, which he had placed on the Order Paper, for the appointment of a select committee of seven to investigate into the railway administration of ths colony. Sir Bryan O'Loghlen declined to grant precedence to the motion ; Mr Munro, however, insisted on precedence being granted, and he was warmly supported by IVfr Berry. The Premier thereupon stated thai the Government pongidefed the motjon aa tantamount to a vote of want of confidence, and would move the adjournment of the House till Tuesday next, at 10 o'clock. The discussion is still proceeding, the general feeling of the House being adverse to a vote of want of confidence.
