He was out of her mare Jess, of bay color ; which when three years old, j gained first prize at the Lanarkshire Society's i Show for the best three year old filly ; as a five year old Ist price at show for the best brood mare of tho Clydesdale breed 3 and also Ist prize at the Cambuslang Society's Show for the best brood mare. His sire, Burgame, as a one year old, gained the Ist prize at the Highland Society's Show, Kelso ; he is sire to a great number of prize stock. Baron of Clyde when threo years old, gained the £70 prize at Stanreap, and first seven times in Tasmania. Young Bai'JH of Clyde by Baron of Clyde, stands 16 hands 3 inches higb, is a rich bay, three black points, handsomo head and neck, short back, great flat bone, with capital feet, most requisite in a cart horse, thoroughly sound, excellent temper and has proved himself beyond all doubt a sure foal-jetter of first-class stock. He has never been exhibited but twice, or he would bo doubt have taken many first prizes, 3'he above unexceptionable pedigree shews this horse to be as pure-bred as ever landed in this colony. He toak first pri^e as a yearling at the Western Show, Tasmania, and second prize at Tokom,airiro against all oomere, A good paddock at Mr Ward's Junction Hotel for mares, at 2s 6d per week ; but without responsibility.
