The Argus of the 17th inst. reports : — In the market for breadstuffe there is still little of importance to refer to. We believe, however, that an improved feeling is beginning to be perceptible. There is certainly) more deeire to operate evinced, though nothing more special can bo reported in the way of gales. Flour is moving in ordinary parcels at prices ranging from £10 10s to £10 12s 6d and £tO 15?. At auction this forenoon £10 10s was realised for a email lot disposed of. For wheat 5s is neked, and we understand that 4s lid, offered publicly this morning for a parcel of fine, waa refused; and 4s lOd was taken for a small lot of western. Outs are stiil very firm ; 4s 2d was realised publicly for milling, and we learn that privately 1,000 bags of fine milling changed hands on private terms. Saleß of minze are now making at 4s lOd to 4s lc'ld, which is a further decline. Mau ritius fcugars are meeting with a very good ir.quiry. tales of whites are making at £35 15s Yellow brewings are scarce, and very extreme iaits arc demanded for such parcels as are n:et with. The usual quantity of Yfirmvilie will be ollered lor sale to-morrow. k is not generally known that in addition to the sui.pht-s of raw augur we are in the habit oi receiving from Queensland, we are in future to have during the season regular supplies of refined irom that colony. The first shipment of iOU Ills oi this, class of sugar Irom the Yen^urie rtlineiy at Brisbane, came lorward a sLoit tin:e ago, to the consignment of Messrs CoiJiieiJ, Hogurih, <i Co , and will bo offered shortly to the trade.
