CUSTOMS RETURNS. The Mowing has been collected as Customs Revenue during the week ending Saturday March 20t—
Martin, Maitland, and Co., stock and b atlou ogents, report:— During the p-ist fortnight tlle demand for store sheep has beau very gre. Young merinoos are not obtainable in eithe/ Otago or Canterbury, and sales are confined eDtirely to fullmouthed ewes. Half-bred wethers are in excellent demand at from 11s to 11s 6d, but sellers hold out for 12s, which floure will, no doubt, be readily obtained in the course of the month, as a large number are required for turnips. We quote fullmouthed merino ewes 5s 6d 5 broken do, 3s 6i to 4s ; fullmouthed merino wethers, 5s fid to 6?, but very unsaleable. Half-bred ewes, 4, 6, and 8 tooth, 10s to Us. Since our last report we have sold 12,000 merino ewes, and are now in treaty for 4500 wethers at the above quotations. On or about the 10th o( next month we shall havo 5000 very superior fullmouthed merino ewes to offer at the Mataura, selected from the Edon Creek and Cottesbrook stations, Manuherikb, which aro famed for the excellence of thei- stock. Store cittle remain firm at former quotations. Well grown bullocks are saleable at Irom £6 to £6 ss ) three year old ateer?, £5 5s to £5 12s 61. We ore now in treaty for 300 head of mixed cattle, which include a number of steers and gpayed cows at £3 10?. Invercargill, March 19th, 1875.

DrNKDIN, March 20. -In the grain market there is lit tie doing, racing matters absorbing the greatest amount of attention. Wheat. 3s 61 ; barley, 5s ; oats, 2s 6d, for millers' new crops. AUCKLAND March 20. Mr Buckland reports : — Fat>heep :— A full supply at 3£d per 1b ; fat oh t tie 26s to 31s 6 I per 100 lbs j store calfe, 15s to 30s ; fat Jo, 2-js Io 55s ; three-year old steers, £6 12s j lambs, scarci'lv represented. Mr .G. W. Binney reports : — Business dull ; stocks of provisions and grain wry low. Flour —Adelaide, £14; Oamaru, £12 ; wheat, 4s ; oats, 4s to 4s 3d, and barley, 5s 6d ; bran, £7 Gs, and pollard, £7 10.-. Hams and bucon, Is 4J ; cheese, 9d, oatmeal, £23.
