Plaintiffs sued for £4 7s 6d as being money due to themifor conveying workmen from Invercargiil to Kiverton (where Mr, Dawson had the contract for the erection of a bridge) at Mr Dawson's request. Defendant admitted indebtedness to the extent of £1 Is, and paid same > into Court, together with cost of summons, ss. I After hearing evidence, His Worship gave I judgment Jfor the plaintiffs in the sum of £1 16s, j with costs, including counsel's fee, 19s. M'lntyre % Lahey v. Duffy.— Adjourned for four weeks. Mair fy Garven v. Bremner. — Mr Harvey for the plaintiffs, who sued the defendant (who did not appear) for £10 17s. It, was intimated that the defendant had that morning remitted £6 10s. Judgment was given for' the plaintiffs for the balance, with costs, £2 8s 6d ; the whole to be paid in two weekly instalments, or in default, ono month's imprisonment.
