FARM PROPERTY.
The land boom in Southland still continues,, and properties throughout
the district are continually changing hands at enhanced values. This is all very well for the new comers as long as the values of farm produce m-aih'tains the present high prices, but a fall in these means a corresponding difficulty, in some instances, to raise the wherewithal to keep up the payments, but it is safe to say that prices will be maintained for some time to come. Among the latest purchases is that of Mr A. Tapper s property, at Wallacetown, which has been secured by Mr P. Price, of Waikiwi, at a price running into five figures. It proximity to Invercargill, despite any fall in the market, should make this into a profit-aide spec, in a few years' time. Mr Price is to be congratulated on his purchase.
