GLENCOE. A most enjoyable picnic was held in Glencoe on January 19th, in a paddock lent by Mr Arch. Mdvay. The attendance was very large, and both young and old thorougnly enjoyed themselves. The prizes for the various events were both useful end ornamental, and g'ave general satisfaction. The ladies supplied the refreshments and the indispensable “billy" was boiled twice. Mr Ross, of your town, was present, and took a photograph of the picnic group. McDonald 2, Chas. McKay 3. In the evening a most enjoyable dance was held in the school. Messrs W. McDonald and H. Edwards (violins) supplied excellent music, and, Mr T. Helm acted as M.C. in his usual genial manner. Several enjoyable songs were sung, the following gentlemen contributing ;—Messrs A. Wilson, Woodwmrd, and J. Garrick.
