TO THE ELECTORS OF AWARXJA Ladies and gentlemen,—Though I publicly expressed my thanks at some length upon the declaration of the poll at Win ton —the principal polling place for Awarua —I (now desire again to do so, and to express to one and all my warmest acknowledgments for the triumphant return which Iheir generous efforts have been the means of according me—l recognise this the more as my engagements had rendered it impossible for me to be in the district myself after an opponent had been brought out, but I felt certain that I could with safety place the fullest dependence, and rely with the utmost confidence, on the efforts of my friends. To the ladies and gentlemen who constituted various committees, I tender my sincerest thanks. Also to those who voluntarily placed their vehicles at their disposal.
