C C.C. V. STAR XIII.
The first match of the season between the above teams was played at Bluff on 15th and 22nd under the most favourable circumstances as regards weather, and the wicket (of
screenings and matting) was in firstclass order. The Port club are busily engaged improving their ground, and it is evident before next season it will compare favourably with any in town.
