Majdr Keddel being unable to attend In consequence of being engaged in hearing an election petition case, the Court was field by. Justices. There were seven civil cases down for hearing, five of which were settled out of Court pr,confessed.
Ford v."' Fogarty, claim £9 5s ;. Mr ■ Hamilton for plaintiff. • Judgment by ' default.
Davies v. Wrathall, claim £7 2a lid. Adjourned to 18th inst. Two youths named A. Wood and M. 8. Smith were summoned for breach of the borough by-law on 23rd December, in Queen Street, by letting off crackers or fireworks in a public place. Smith pleaded guilty, and was discharged with a caution. Wood did not appear, and Constable Parker 'having proved the charge, was fined Is and costs on conviction.
Studholme v. Ardley.—ln this case complainant applied for an order to bind over the defendant from conduct leading to a breach of the peace. The case was adjourned for bearing before the S.M. on the.lSth inst.
