The Rees-Cadman Affair.

(By Telegraph) AUCKLAND. July 2D. Mr Bees addressed the Auckland electors last night re the Oadman-Bees episode. The following resolution was carried :—“ That this meeting, having heard Mr Beea’s state* ment and considered the finding of the Napier jury, is of opinion that in laying the charges against Mr Oadman Mr Bees was only performing his duty as a representative of the people in Parliament; the omission of Mr Oadman to apply for a Committee of the House to enquire into the whole matter, gives grounds for a very strong suspicion that he was afraid to face a tribunal which is, under the circumstances, the only body able to clear his name ”
