WESTPORT, Oct. 11

Though the brake at Denniston incline is broken down, all tho free labourers are steadily employed as the company can easily store 3000 tons. The brake was defective at the foundation, for the new brake machinery has been started some time. The machinery is expected here by the'Grafton on Tuesday next. The stoppage, it appears, cannot ho blamed on the free labourer, but is due to old defective machinery. Everything will be ready for work in a little over a fortnight.
