Waugh, a clerk recently in the employ of the New Zealand Government, was arrested to-day on a charge of embezzlement of moneys belonging to the Government of New Zealand. STATE COLONIZATION. In the House this afternoon, Sir Henry Parkes, replying to a question, said that he had carefully considered the communicationrecoi ved from Lord Knutsford with reference to the Imperial Parliamentary Colonization Committee, and had returned a reply to the effect that the Government of New South Wales would not incur any responsibility in the matter.
