(By Telegraph.) The Clansman Successfully Launched. GISBORNE, May 22. The brigantine Clansman which went ashore on Gisborne beach on April 4th, was floated successfully this morning by Nelson Bros, of Auckland, who bought the vessel for £9O. A Deadly TrapWELLINGTON, May 22. Nothing further came out at the inquest on Mrs McXonna, except that she was a woman of sober habits. The medical testimony was that she died from failure of the heart’s action, and not by drowning. Verdict accordingly. This is tho fifth death lately through falling over tho unprotected breastwork.
Home Rule Sympathisers. INVERCARGILL, May 22. A meeting of Home Rule sympathisers is to be held to night to arrange for the reception of the Irish delegates. The members of Parliament for the district are invited.
