Lately she had been more depressed than usual, and at a quarter to R o’clock this morning sho loaded a breechloader, and placing it on the table with the muzzle to her breast, leaned over and pulled the trigger. The shot passed right through her body. She lived for four hours suffering dreadful agony. Dr Clayton, who was summoned, wes unable to do anything to save her.
