A Brute Sent to Gaol.
(By Telegraph.) CHRISTCHURCH, April 18. Wilhelm Heindrichs, arrested yesterday for drunkenness and cruelly stabbing a horsp about tho eye with a pocket knife whilst intoxicated, was sentenced to-day to six months’ imprisonment. Tho injuries to tho horse were very bad, one eye being nearly gouged out.
