(Bv Telegraph. ) Sheep Inspectors’ Conference. WELLINGTON, April 16. The deliberations of the sheep inspectors were concluded last night. They have made numerous recommendations in the direction of amending the sheep, cattle, rabbits, and branding Acts, principally in matters of detail. Marlborough Goldfields. BLENHEIM, April 16. The Perseverance claim, Waikakahoe Flati came on good gold. This is the first claim on the flat that has had any luck, and all the workers were on the point of abandoning their claims in disgust. The prospects are now bright. The Nationalist Delegates. DUNEDIN, April 16. The Irish Nationalist Delegation has intimated that they cannot reach New Zealand, for nearly five m ruths, owing to a pressure of engagements.
