The amount which it is reported China is prepared to pay as au indemnity to Franco is five million taels (say £1,500,000), not five millions sterling as stated in previous telegrams. European ConferenceLondon, July 31. It has transpired that the cause of the farther adjournment of the European Conferenoe is that M. Waddington, the French delegate, is not yet prepared to agree to any final report on behalf of his Government. A CorrectionCancel to-day’s telegram regarding the Wellington cargo of frozen meat. Its condition has not yet been ascertained.
