THEATRE ROYAL.

Mr Millie’ ventriloquial entertainment at the Theatre Royal last night deserved a large audience instead of the small onewhich actually assembled. The paucity of attendance was doubtless owing in agreat measure to the inclement weather* Mr Millis’ programme gave entire satisfaction to all who were present, hi» ventriloquial powers being far above those of any ventriloquist who has previously visited Timaru. In his impersonations Mr Millis displays a great deal of power of mimicry and sufficient good taste to render his performances highly amusing without being in the slightest degree coarse. His costumes, too, areexcellent and the suitable songs are all well rendered. Taken as a whole, Mr Millis’ entertainment is a very superiorone, and well, worth the price of admission.
