The day is fine, but there is a strong nor’-west wind blowing. Wilding, Milton, and Chapman are not playing for Canterbury. The first two go on South, and Chapman, it is understood, remained behind at Auckland. The vacancies have been filled by some gentlemen who came up from Christchurch to witness the match. Later. The cricket match Canterbury v. Wellington, commenced this morning, and Canterbury won the toss and went in.
