S. C. REFRIGERATING COMPANY.
A meeting of directors of the South Canterbury Refrigerating Company, was held this afternoon, at the office of the Secretary. Mr E. Elworthy presided, and there were present —Messrs R. H. Rhodes, W. Grant, J. Guild, W. Moody, M. Jonas, J. Page, E. Acton, and H. Ford. A petition, signed by 36 shareholders, was received, asking the Directors to call a special general meeting for the purpose of reversing the decision already come to as to site. It was resolved to reply, _ expressing the willingness of the Directors to call a special meeting to discuss any important business, but stating that the purchase of the site had already been completed, by the payment to Mr Rhodes of £IOO deposit, before the petition was received. After the transaction of some minor business, the meeting terminated.
