MAGISTERIAL.
TIMARU—THIS DAY. (Before J. Beswick, Esq., R.M.) DRUNKENNESS. One first offender was fined 5s for drunkenness. Malcolm Geddie, for drunkenness was fined ss, in default 24 hours’ imprisonment. John Green, alias Michael Thompson, the man who, a year ago, was convicted for biting off Constable Casey’s thumb, and otherwise violently assaulting that officer, was charged with drunkenness, and fined 10s, and costs, 2s, in default 48 hours’ imprisonment. VEHICLE UNATTENDED. Bichard Hoare, for leaving his vehicle unattended, within the Borough, was fined 10s, and costs, 13s. DRIVING WITHOUT EEINS. Eobert Elms, for driving without reins, was fined 20s. CATTLE AT LABGE. Daniel Geaney and Timothy Brosna" han were fined 5s and costs each, for allowing their cattle to be at large.
