THIS DAT. (Received Dec. 6, 1883, 1 p.m.) The Annexation Conference. Sydney,Dec. 6. A telegram was read at the Conference yesterday, announcing that Franco lays claim to the following islands or groups in the Pacific :—New Caledonia; Loyalties, Pines, Marquesas (eleven islands), Societies, Tahita, Moora, Low Archipelago (eighty islands), Australs, Tubai, Eoito and Eapa. Prance is willing that the Leeward Islands, near Tahita should be independent.
